Flu season is here! You may have noticed…
Every year people write about flu remedies, take your vitamin c etcetera.

This year, I have a few ideas, which are more modern remedies, from more modern thinking. Each of these works best at the inception, the very first sign of getting ill. These are great ideas for improving your immunity for the short term.
*These remedies are recommended for adults for reasons explained in the text. They are great for parents, so read on.

The first idea is taking Co Q 10- Ubiquinol. Ubiquinol is a converted form of Co-Q10/ubiquolin. This conversion makes it easier to absorb. The body produces Co-Q10 naturally. As we age, our ability to produce Co- Q10 slows down. By taking Ubiquinol when you start to feel ill, you boost your body’s immune system by increasing anti-oxidants, which attack free radicals. The other way Co-Q10 is used by the body, is it is an essential co-factor for ATP, which is the energy building component of our cells. By boosting this essential co-factor, short term, you are building your energy. This has a positive effect on your cardiovascular system, and your cells. What a great way to enhance your health!
The one thing I don’t suggest, however, is taking Co-Q10 all the time, even when you feel healthy. As with all supplements, the more you take, the less your body creates on it’s own. The body gets lazy. So, take Co-Q10 at the inception of feeling ill and then stop, when you feel clear of any infection.
I don’t recommend Co-Q10 supplements for children because they are already producing enough Co-Q10 for themselves.

The 2nd supplement I recommend you take when you start to feel ill is electrolytes. Electrolytes help us to hydrate ourselves and as you know, it is always recommended to drink lots of fluids when you are ill. There are some great companies making electrolyte supplements, you can find them in health food stores. Electrolytes are minerals, some of which we are familiar with, such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, and there are many others. Electrolytes also work on a cellular level. Electrolytes create the electricity in our cells. They are, literally, the chemistry that drives our cells to cleanse, to hydrate and to function.
There are sports drinks that are high in electrolytes and they do work. The only concern there, is that they can be high is sugar, which is why I don’t recommend them for children.

The 3rd supplement I recommend is Cell Food. Cell food is an oxygen and trace mineral supplement. Again you can buy it in a health food store of from a distributor. The key component here is oxygen. Oxygen has been used to destroy cancer cells. It is a very potent form of healing therapy. Therefore, when you are starting to feel sick, start taking some cell food to restore your health, and refresh your blood.

I hope these recommendations work for you.
